CodePlatoon was the Bootcamp organized by CodeChef CIEM Chapter from the 20th of September to 26th of September. It was a seven day Bootcamp program targeting to ignite the coding culture in CIEM again. Since it was the first contest of the season and the first year folks are yet to join the chapter we decided to make the sharp minds of CIEM even sharper by providing them with certain tips and tricks related to Competitive Programming.
The first day i.e 20th of September and the second day i.e 21st of September consisted of Mentors taking classes via Google Meet and telling the participants how they can participate in Competitive Programming Contests using the CodeChef platform and how they can also practice in one as well.
The participants were divided according to the language preferences they provided into small groups ranging from 6–15. The mentors for the Bootcamp were:

- Sudhanshu Sekhar Singh ( C )
- Abhishek Kundu ( C )
- Debgandhar Ghosh ( C++ )
- Suchinta Chanda ( Python )
A total of 78 people participated in the bootcamp event.
From 22nd to 25th of September the participants practiced on their sharpening and preparing themselves for the final contest on 26th of September.
On 26th of September a large sum of students participated in the final contest.
The contest started from 4pm (IST) and ended at 6:30pm (IST). Total 48 participants ended up making one complete contribution and there was one participant who was the Sole winner of the contest.
Debargha Dutta was the Champion of the CodePlatoon Bootcamp. After 7days of learning together in group and teaching a bunch of group we can say that we definitely made sure that the coding culture in the College was up and ready.
